My first day of travel started off like most other days. I woke up and smoked a bowl. I brushed my teeth and thought about what I needed to do before I left. I had about 4 hours before I needed to be out the door. So, I started my laundry and began packing. Yeah, I waited until now to do that. My most prized possession is the liquid LSD I bought a few weeks ago. I transferred it into a nasal spray bottle and diluted it to stretch it out. I have enough for a whole year if I micro-dose every 3 days.
Leaving from O'Hare
A friend drove me to the airport and we mostly rode in silence. We'd done some blow a few nights ago and got most of the talking out of our systems. I was excited and nervous, but mostly dreading the 10 hour layover in Spain before I got to Morocco. We said our goodbyes and I walked through security. I got to my gate and had a few hours to kill. I decided to gorge myself on overpriced cheeseburgers and shitty beer. I hoped that would be enough to help me sleep on the plane. I forgot about the 40mg of Ritalin I took that morning in lieu of caffeine. At least they had the personal TVs in each seat.
Never choose the beef
I landed in Madrid, irritable and 3 terminals away from my departure gate. I looked for food and settled on veggie lasagna and a bag of skittles. I wandered outside the terminal and watched the parade of Spanish asses. It was too fucking hot out to keep being a pervert, so I went through security and found my gate. I had 7 hours until boarding so I listened to Taylor Swift while nodding off against a wall.
Hey gurl ;)
Try to imagine a full 10:30pm flight from Madrid to Marrakesh on a plane that was stained yellow on the inside from god knows what. I smelled my armpits to make sure it wasn't my body odor. It wasn't, so I kept smelling them to avoid breathing the air around me. Landing in Marrakesh was a relief. I thought I'd be able to sleep very soon. Customs took another 2 hours.
I went outside the terminal and looked for a taxi. He drove me through the new city on the way to the Medina. It looks like a smaller, shittier Vegas. The traffic patterns are incomprehensible to me. The people look like the ones on TV that the government says want to kill all Americans. My driver drops me off at an alley and says I'll find it if I walk down it and take the 2nd right. I follow his instructions and don't find it. I wander around looking for the building number. Some teenagers notice I am lost and offer to help me find it. I was 20ft away from it. They demand I pay them for helping. I gave them one of the bills in my wallet and they ask for more. I tell them no and they seem upset, but they fuck off anyway. I get inside and the guy running the joint can't wait to tell me all about everything. I struggle to smile and keep repeating that I am very tired. He shows me the room and my only roommate is a tiny Asian girl named Penny. We talk for a few minutes before I strip down and pass out. They lied about having A/C.
